Romao Transfer Rumours Denied Amid Turkish Interest
Speculation surrounding Alaixys Romao’s future continues to swirl, but recent reports of an imminent move to Turkey have been firmly denied by the player’s camp.
On Saturday, several French outlets claimed the Togolese international midfielder had reached an agreement with Besiktas, while others linked him to a possible transfer to Bursaspor. However, speaking to La Provence, Romao’s agent, Khalid Tallas, dismissed the speculation.
“The player cannot agree with Bursaspor, because neither he nor I have been contacted by this club,” Tallas clarified.
He went on to state that no official offer has been submitted to Olympique de Marseille, where Romao remains under contract.
The 31-year-old has been a regular figure in Marseille’s midfield since his arrival in 2013 but now appears to be at a crossroads as the club undergoes changes under new management. While a move away is still possible before the transfer window closes, for now, the rumours linking him to Turkish clubs appear to be unfounded.
Romao’s future remains uncertain, but as it stands, OM have not received any formal proposals, and the midfielder remains fully committed to his current club.
