Nicolas N’Koulou, who has had a lackluster season with Olympique de Marseille, is likely to depart during the upcoming offseason, following the footsteps of some of his teammates like Steve Mandanda and Mathieu Valbuena.
In an interview with La Provence on Wednesday, François Omam-Biyik, former striker for RC Lens, OM, and the Indomitable Lions during the 1990 World Cup in Italy, commented on N’Koulou’s performance.
“He reflects the team. This season, OM’s management has not been up to par. What is the reason? Perhaps a lack of focus due to the prospect of the World Cup. It seems like he only put in minimal effort,” he suggested.
N’Koulou may not take Omam-Biyik’s remarks lightly.
