Mandanda Sounds the Alarm: “We Must Pull Ourselves Together”
Marseille captain Steve Mandanda isn’t sugarcoating things. After OM’s lackluster loss to Montpellier, the experienced goalkeeper voiced serious concerns about the team’s mentality and recent form.
“We don’t have the same mindset as in the first half of the season,” Mandanda admitted.
“I don’t know if we thought we were champions in December, but we have to pull ourselves together quickly because there are still a lot of games left if we want to achieve our goals and finish at the top.”
OM’s defeat was marked by a clear lack of desire and technical execution, a far cry from their dominant performances earlier in the campaign. The result has reignited doubts about their consistency and whether the early-season praise may have led to complacency within the squad.
With the Ligue 1 title race heating up, Marseille must rediscover their hunger and focus—or risk letting a promising season unravel.
