Steve Mandanda Set for Return in Marseille Friendly Against Willem II
Steve Mandanda is expected to make his comeback this Sunday evening in Marseille’s friendly match against Dutch side Willem II in Albertville, Savoie.
The goalkeeper has been sidelined since the final day of Ligue 1, having sustained a vertebra injury that also ruled him out of the World Cup. Marcelo Bielsa rested Mandanda in recent friendlies against Bayer Leverkusen and Clermont but has included him in the squad for this evening’s game.
Meanwhile, Mathieu Valbuena, who only returned to training on Saturday, has not been selected for the match.
