Giannelli Imbula: AC Milan Bound Under Ancelotti?
Giannelli Imbula, long linked with a move to Valencia, could instead be heading to AC Milan—provided Carlo Ancelotti takes the reins at the Italian club.
Recently dismissed by Real Madrid, Ancelotti is reportedly in discussions with Silvio Berlusconi and Milan management to return as coach. According to La Provence, one of his first targets would be the Olympique de Marseille midfielder. The Italian tactician had previously sent scouts to observe Imbula during OM’s clash against Monaco.
However, the player’s stance on leaving Marseille remains ambiguous. Just a few weeks ago, Imbula expressed his satisfaction at the club:
“I’m very happy in Marseille. I had a difficult first year. But it’s better this season. I still have two years to go here, I hope it gets better and better.”
Should Ancelotti sign with Milan, he may test Marseille’s resolve with an offer for one of Ligue 1’s most talented midfielders.
