Souleymane Diawara Urges Patience with Marcelo Bielsa’s Marseille
After just two Ligue 1 matches, it is too early to judge Marcelo Bielsa’s impact at Olympique de Marseille, says Souleymane Diawara. The former Marseille defender, now playing for OGC Nice, believes more time is needed for the new coach to implement his ideas.
“I’ve looked at the results but haven’t watched the matches or the goals, so I don’t really know,” said the 36-year-old. “It’s a new staff, a new coach, so maybe Bielsa needs time to put in place what he wants.”
Diawara added: “We shouldn’t start trying to judge Olympique de Marseille just yet; it’s much too early. There have only been two games, and the season is very long. We’ll see at the end of the campaign, but for now, it’s too soon to draw conclusions about Marseille.”
