Boubacar Kamara Hesitant on Marseille Contract Extension
Amid an otherwise average season for Olympique de Marseille, Boubacar Kamara has been a rare bright spot. The Marseille-trained defender, of Mauritanian origin, has reportedly yet to respond to the club’s contract extension offer.
Under contract until June 2020, Kamara has impressed many with his performances in central defense, prompting the club to move quickly to secure one of its most promising assets. At just 19 years old, he has already featured in 31 matches this season, highlighting his importance to the team.
According to La Provence, Kamara’s hesitation has caused concern among Marseille’s management, who are relying heavily on him as a cornerstone of André Villas-Boas’ new project.
