Marseille trio rest ahead of Ligue 1 clash with Rennes
Marseille midfielder Abdelaziz Barrada, defender Benjamin Mendy, and Rod Fanni missed training on Wednesday as the club’s medical staff gave them rest amid injury concerns.
According to La Provence, Barrada continues to struggle with quadriceps pain and was sidelined for the recent Ligue 1 match against Evian. Mendy is managing a thigh injury, while Fanni is dealing with neck discomfort. Despite their absence from training, all three remain in contention for Sunday’s match against Rennes.
Manager Marcelo Bielsa is expected to provide updates on their fitness during his pre-match press conference.
