José Anigo didn’t hold back in his recent interview, addressing both Pape Diouf, the former president of Olympique de Marseille (OM), and Didier Deschamps, the current coach of the France national team.
Regarding Pape Diouf, Anigo acknowledged his intelligence and love for OM but suggested that his constant negative commentary on the club might tire those who view him as a respected figure. Anigo encouraged Diouf to move on and let the current management work.
On Didier Deschamps, Anigo expressed regret over their strained relationship, especially considering their initial success together. Despite any past disagreements, Anigo stated that he would support the French national team at the World Cup.
Anigo also touched on his predecessor Elie Baup, questioning his level of responsibility in the club’s operations and suggesting that the president and sports director bear more accountability in team building.
