OM: ANIGO DID NOT OBTAIN HIS COACHING DIPLOMA

José Anigo, the interim coach of Olympique de Marseille until the end of the season, is facing a challenge beyond the pitch. Despite his interim role, Anigo has not yet received official authorization to manage professional teams due to the lack of coaching diploma.

Reports from Quotidien La Provence indicate that Anigo has completed three out of the four modules required to obtain the coaching diploma, falling short of the necessary qualification. This places him in the company of other coaches in Ligue 1, including Pascal Dupraz of Evian TG and Franck Dumas of Arles-Avignon, who also lack the required diploma.

While the absence of a coaching diploma presents a hurdle for Anigo, it’s worth noting that several coaches currently leading teams in Ligue 1 are in a similar situation. However, obtaining the coaching diploma remains an important milestone for Anigo, as it is a formal requirement for officially leading a professional team in French football.
