Olympique Safi coach reflects on missed opportunities in Casablanca draw
Olympique Safi coach Amin Al Karma has expressed pride in his team’s performance following a tightly contested match against Wydad Athletic Club.
Despite a goalless draw, Al Karma highlighted the team’s efforts during the post-match press conference, describing their display as commendable against a formidable opponent.
“The players delivered an exceptional performance against a high-caliber team,” Al Karma stated.
“We created some great scoring opportunities but, unfortunately, couldn’t capitalize on them.
Missing that last-minute chance in extra time cost us the opportunity to leave Casablanca with a point.”
While disappointed with the result, Al Karma remained upbeat, noting the positive response from fans. “Our performance earned respect from everyone,” he said.
“The applause from the crowd after the match was a significant morale boost for the players.
Their support motivates us to continue improving and building a competitive team that plays attractive football.”
Al Karma also urged Safi’s fans to remain supportive of the young squad, emphasizing the importance of their encouragement in fostering enthusiasm and confidence.
“I promise to develop a team that can leave a mark in future tournaments,” he assured.
The draw against Wydad, one of Morocco’s most prominent clubs, showcased Olympique Safi’s potential to compete at a higher level.
With Al Karma’s determination and the backing of the fans, the team aims to make a strong impression in upcoming competitions.
This result, though not ideal, could serve as a foundation for building momentum in their campaign, with supporters hopeful for a successful season ahead.
