French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille are interested in signing American forward of Liberian descent, Timothy Weah.
According to sources, the Ligue 1 club has officially presented a bid to Juventus, hoping to secure the services of the attacker.
The Ligue 1 club, fresh from securing the signatures of Igor Paixão and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, have identified Weah as a key target to bolster their right flank.
However, negotiations have become complicated despite Marseille mirroring a proposal already made by Premier League side Nottingham Forest: a one-year loan deal with an option to buy for €14 million.
Juventus had previously agreed to the same terms with Forest, but have rejected Marseille’s identical offer, citing concerns over the valuation. The Bianconeri believe the figure falls short of the player’s market worth and are pushing for a fee closer to €18–20 million to secure a substantial capital gain.
Weah was signed from Lille last summer for around €10 million and, despite not fully fitting into Allegri’s plans, is still considered a valuable asset with development potential.
The uncertainty surrounding the deal has reportedly caused frustration within Weah’s camp, as the player seeks clarity on his future ahead of the new season.
For now, Juventus remain open to selling the 25-year-old, but only under the right financial conditions.
