Rachid Taoussi resigns after Olympique Khouribga defeat
Following Olympique Khouribga’s heavy 4-1 defeat to Mouloudia d’Oujda on Friday, head coach Rachid Taoussi announced his resignation.
The match, part of the 8th round of fixtures, saw Mouloudia Oujda dominate from early on. Ismail Khafi opened the scoring in the 20th minute and converted a penalty 15 minutes later. Olympique Khouribga’s Reda Hajhouj pulled one back in the 59th minute, but the visitors sealed the victory late with goals from Saber El Ghanjaoui and Khafi, who completed his hat-trick.
Speaking after the match, Taoussi explained his decision:
“I no longer feel capable of working calmly. I therefore announce my resignation from the position of coach of Olympique Khouribga.”
Taoussi, a former Raja Casablanca coach, steps down amid growing pressure following a disappointing start to the season.
