Olympiacos monitor Barcelona winger Jesse Bisiwu after summer switch

Belgian-Ghanaian winger Jesse Bisiwu is the subject of interest from Olympiacos while under contract at Barcelona.

The 18-year-old joined the Spanish club from Club NXT on 31 July in a transfer worth €8.5m, but has already been linked with a move to the Greek Super League side. There is no indication that a transfer has been agreed, with the reported interest coming only weeks after his arrival at Barcelona.

Bisiwu, who was born in Leuven and can represent Belgium or Ghana, plays on the left wing and is right-footed. He made 36 appearances in the Challenger Pro League before joining Barcelona, scoring twice and providing two assists.

His move to Barcelona followed three seasons with Club NXT, where he had developed after leaving the Club Brugge youth system. He also featured 14 times in the UEFA Youth League, scoring three goals and registering one assist.

Bisiwu’s current market value is listed at €800,000, although Barcelona paid considerably more to secure his services. The teenager is tied to the club until 30 June 2031, leaving Barcelona in a strong contractual position should Olympiacos decide to pursue the interest.
