Olympiacos linked with SC Bastia midfielder Alexandre Zaouai

Ivory Coast midfielder Alexandre Zaouai is the subject of reported interest from Olympiacos, with the 21-year-old currently under contract at French club SC Bastia.

Zaouai plays as an attacking midfielder and has made four appearances in five possible Ligue 3 matches for Bastia this season. He has started 40% of those games and played 43% of the available minutes, without scoring or registering an assist.

The player joined Bastia from JAC Angre on 16 July 2025. He has since established himself in the club’s senior squad, having made four league appearances and played 194 minutes in total.

Olympiacos are competing in Greece’s Super League 1, while Bastia play in France’s Ligue 3. The reported move would represent Zaouai’s first transfer away from Bastia since joining the French club.

Zaouai’s current market value is listed at €1.5m, although no transfer fee has been reported in connection with the rumour. His preferred foot is right, and his main position is attacking midfield.

There has been no confirmation from either club that negotiations are taking place. Zaouai remains contracted to SC Bastia until 30 June 2029.
