Oluwabori Falaye: Canada-Nigeria striker joins Irtysh on free transfer from KF Tirana
Canada-Nigeria forward Oluwabori Falaye has joined Kazakh Premier Liga side Irtysh on a free transfer from Albanian club KF Tirana.
The 27-year-old centre-forward moves to Kazakhstan after a spell in the Kategoria Superiore, where he had been on the books of Tirana. The deal sees Irtysh add an experienced attacking option without paying a fee, with Falaye switching clubs as a free agent.
Falaye, who holds both Canadian and Nigerian nationality, arrives with a listed market value of €100,000, underlining Irtysh’s decision to strengthen their forward line at relatively low cost. His primary role is as a central striker, offering a focal point in attack for the Premier Liga side.
The move marks a change of scene for Falaye, who leaves Albania’s top tier to compete in Kazakhstan’s highest division. His experience in European domestic competition with KF Tirana provides Irtysh with a player accustomed to playing in a top-flight environment.
By securing Falaye on a free transfer, Irtysh have completed a low-risk addition to their squad as they prepare for the challenges of the Premier Liga campaign.
