Spanish side Sevilla FC have officially signed Nigeria international forward Kelechi Iheanacho on a free transfer, marking him as the fifth addition to their squad for the 2024-25 season.
The Andalusian club have already completed the signings of Chidera Ejuke, Peque Fernandez, Saúl Niguez, and Albert-Mboyo Sambi Lokonga.
The Nigerian forward, born on March 10, 1996, has penned a two-year deal with an option for a third year.
Iheanacho, 27, began his European career in Manchester City after emerging from Nigeria. He played 64 games for City, scoring 21 goals and assisting 7 times.
In 2017, he was transferred to Leicester City, where he made 232 appearances, netting 61 goals and providing 34 assists, helping them to secure promotion to Premier League last season.
Iheanacho has also represented Nigeria at the international level, scoring 19 goals in 55 matches, and won the U17 FIFA World Cup in 2017.
He will bolster Sevilla’s attack as they prepare for the upcoming season.
