Henri Bedimo has successfully completed his medical examination and officially signed a new three-year contract with Olympique Lyonnais. The Cameroonian defender arrives from Montpellier for a transfer fee of €2 million, with the potential for an additional €600,000 in incentives based on the club’s performance.
Having previously won the French championship with Montpellier in 2012, Bedimo is expected to bolster Lyon’s defensive lineup. The Lyon coach, Rémi Garde, has been in search of a left-back, and Bedimo fills that role.
The question remains whether Lyon’s transfer activities are complete, with rumors circulating about potential interest in Jérémy Aliadière from Lorient, especially as the transfer of Bafétimbi Gomis is still pending.
At 29 years old, Bedimo will join his fourth French club, having previously played for Toulouse and Lens.
