Amidst interest from clubs across Europe, Mohammed Rabiu has made the decision to join Russia. Despite the attention from English clubs, with Fulham showing particular interest, the Ghanaian midfielder has opted for a three-year contract with the Russian club Kuban Krasnodar. This announcement comes from Evian Thonon Gaillard, as revealed on their official website.
The statement reads, “Evian Thonon Gaillard and the Russian club Kuban Krasnodar have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of player Mohammed Rabiu. ETG FC wishes Mohammed good luck for the rest of his career.” In Krasnodar, Rabiu will be joining forces with other international players, including Burkina Faso’s Charles Kaboré, Franco-Ivorian Djibril Cisse, and Senegalese Ibrahima Baldé.
The departure of Rabiu is sure to be felt by coach Pascal Dupraz, marking the end of an era with the talented midfielder leaving the Evian Thonon Gaillard club.
