As reported last week, Didier Gomes da Rosa is set to join Coton Sport de Garoua, departing from his role as the coach of Rayon Sports FC in Kigali, Rwanda. The official announcement came on Tuesday, with Coton Sport confirming the arrival of da Rosa in Garoua for the formalization of his contract.
The statement on the Cameroonian champion’s Facebook account reads, “Didier Gomes Da Rosa, the new coach of Coton Sport de Garoua, arrives in Douala this afternoon from Paris. He will set foot on the ground of Garoua tomorrow Wednesday to begin his new challenge with Coton Sport, his new club.”
Coton Sport de Garoua had been without a coach since the departure of Frenchman Sebastien Desabre at the end of the last championship. Da Rosa’s arrival marks a new chapter for the team as they look forward to the challenges ahead under his leadership.
