Crystal Palace have announced that talented defender Caleb Kporha has signed a new four-year contract with the club, ending speculation about his future.
The 18-year-old England youth international of Ghanaian descent, who joined Palace’s academy in 2021, has impressed with his performances this season.
His commitment to Crystal Palace comes after reports linked him to German and French clubs.
This season, Kporha made his first-team debut in November against Fulham. He also represented England Under-19s, earning his first call-up in March for UEFA European U19 Championship qualifiers.
Reflecting on his journey, Kporha expressed pride in his progress. He recalled joining the academy at 15, earning a scholarship, and making his debut.
He also praised manager Oliver Glasner for his support and guidance.
“I’m feeling really proud, I’m super excited with what’s to come in the future.
“This season has been good for me, from pre-season on tour with the first-team – I enjoyed it and got a good few minutes out there against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
“I’ve just been training with the first team ever since, while playing a few games with the Under-21s, and I’m really happy here.
“The coach and the team are so welcoming and they’re always there for you, so I feel like I’ve got a lot to learn from the manager and I feel like there’s a lot to come in the future.”
His new contract ensures his presence at Selhurst Park until 2029, reinforcing his dedication to the team’s ambitions.
