Egyptian giants Al Ahly have officially announced the signing of Moroccan international Achraf Bencharki, securing his services just 24 hours after his departure from Qatari side Al Rayyan.
Confirming the transfer, the club welcomed him with a statement: “Welcome, Achraf Bencharki, to the Red Castle.”
Bencharki, 30, has signed a contract with Al Ahly that runs until June 2028, marking his return to African football after stints with clubs such as Wydad, Zamalek, Al Hilal, and Al Jazira.
During his time with Al Rayyan this season, he registered four goals and six assists in 16 appearances across all competitions.
It remains uncertain whether Bencharki will be available for Al Ahly’s upcoming Egyptian Premier League clash against Modern Sport.
At Al Ahly, Achraf Bencharki, will be expected to bring his quality and experience on board to help the decorated side achieve more success.
