The transfer of Chris Mavinga from Rennes to Rubin Kazan has been officially confirmed. Stade Rennes has formalized the signing of the 22-year-old left-back, who has agreed to a four-year contract with the Russian club.
Mavinga expressed gratitude to his teammates, the staff, and the supporters at Rennes in a post on his Twitter account. He mentioned that he had two great years at the club and will continue to follow the team’s performance as a supporter. He also indicated that he would discuss the real reasons for his departure for those interested, emphasizing that he is not running away from anything and takes responsibility for his decision.
Chris Mavinga will now join Rubin Kazan and reunite with fellow midfielder Yann M’Vila.
