Mounir Obbadi: No Word Yet on Radamel Falcao’s Potential Move to Juventus
By BBC Sport
Amid swirling rumours linking Colombian striker Radamel Falcao with a move to Juventus, his close friend and former teammate Mounir Obbadi has revealed that no discussions have taken place regarding the star’s possible arrival in Italy.
While Falcao’s agent is reportedly in Monaco negotiating the player’s future, several Italian media outlets have speculated that the Juventus transfer could be imminent. However, Obbadi, now playing for Hellas Verona, told Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio that he has not been involved in any talks and that Falcao has not sought his advice about moving to Serie A.
“I don’t know if my friend Falcao will follow me to Italy,” Obbadi said. “I don’t have any advice to give him; he knows very well what he has to do. I don’t know if he will leave Monaco or not. Many clubs are interested, but for the moment he hasn’t asked me any questions about the Italian championship.”
Falcao, who has battled injuries during his time at Monaco, remains a highly sought-after striker, with several European clubs reportedly tracking his situation. Juventus appear keen to add firepower to their frontline, but the Colombian’s next move remains uncertain.
As the transfer window progresses, football fans will be watching closely to see if Falcao’s potential switch to Serie A becomes reality.
