Notts County linked with Salford defender Rosaire Longelo in League One move
Rosaire Longelo, the England and DR Congo left-back currently with Salford, has been linked with a move to Notts County.
The proposed switch would see the 26-year-old move from League Two to League One, although there is no indication that a transfer has been agreed or that negotiations have reached an advanced stage.
Longelo joined Salford from Swindon Town on 17 January 2025 and remains under contract until 30 June 2027. His current market value is listed at €250,000.
The defender has yet to make an appearance for Salford in the 2026-27 campaign, with the club having played one League Two match and one EFL Cup fixture at the time of the latest update. He has also not recorded a goal or assist this season.
Longelo plays at left-back and is left-footed. He began his senior career pathway with West Ham’s under-18s before moving to Newcastle United’s under-23 side, and later joined Accrington in January 2022. He subsequently signed for Swindon Town before moving to Salford.
Notts County’s interest comes as the club operate in League One, one division above Salford. Any move would therefore represent a step up in league level for Longelo, but his existing contract means the clubs would need to reach an agreement over his transfer.
