Norrby sign Nigeria winger Ibrahim Adewale on loan from Mjallby AIF

Nigeria right winger Ibrahim Adewale has joined Swedish side Norrby on loan from Allsvenskan club Mjallby AIF. The 19-year-old moves to the Superettan outfit for the 2026 season, in a temporary deal agreed on 10 July.

Adewale, who was born in Abuja in September 2006, is under contract at Norrby until 30 November 2026, aligning with the length of his loan stay. He is valued at around 200,000 and will operate primarily on the right flank of the attack as Norrby look to strengthen their options out wide.

The move comes after Adewale broke into senior football in Sweden with Mjallby. He made his Allsvenskan debut in 2026, appearing once in the top flight and featuring for six minutes. In the current Allsvenskan campaign he has played in one of Mjallbys 11 league matches before making the switch, picking up a yellow card in the process.

Adewale joined Mjallby from Tripple 44 FC in January 2026, having previously spent time on loan at IF Karlstad from the Nigerian club during the 202425 season. His development in Sweden has already brought silverware, with the winger part of a Mjallby squad that lifted the Swedish Cup in 2026.

The loan to Norrby offers Adewale the chance of regular football in the Superettan, while Mjallby retain his rights beyond the end of the season. The agreement means the Nigeria youth heads into the second half of 2026 as a Norrby player on a confirmed loan transfer.
