Norberto: Angolan playmaker joins Bodoland FC on free transfer from Rajasthan United

Angolan attacking midfielder Norberto has joined Bodoland FC on a free transfer from Rajasthan United, adding proven top-flight experience to the Indian clubs creative options.

The 31-year-old, born in Luanda and predominantly right-footed, moves after a short spell with Rajasthan United, whom he also joined on a free earlier in the 2025-26 campaign. He is listed with a market value of 100,000 and becomes one of the most experienced midfielders in the Bodoland squad.

Norberto arrives on the back of a solid season in Indian football, where he featured regularly across league and championship-stage fixtures. In total, he made more than 30 appearances in all competitions last term, including outings in the Jindal League and the Indian Football League Championship Stage, contributing goals, assists and over 2,500 minutes on the pitch.

Before his time in India, the 1.73m midfielder built his career across Africa and the Middle East. He has previously represented AS Vita Club in the DR Congo, Oman Club and Ibri Club, as well as Angolan sides C.R.D. Libolo, Santa Rita CFC and JA Saurimo, giving him experience in both domestic title races and continental competition, including the CAF Champions League.

Now 31 and with a career spanning multiple leagues, Norbertos move to Bodoland FC is a permanent free transfer completed ahead of the 2026-27 season.
