Noni Madueke faces anxious wait as Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta provides injury update
Noni Madueke’s recovery remains uncertain as Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta revealed the winger must wait longer before knowing the true extent of his injury.
The 23-year-old sustained a knee injury that was initially expected to keep him out for six to eight weeks. However, Arteta explained that a clearer timeline will only be available after further medical checks.
“No, he hasn’t had a [second] scan yet, so he needs to wait a little bit more still with the brace and everything,” Arteta said when asked whether there was certainty in the matter.
“So, he’s still in a stage where everything is super protective and once he comes out of that and has the scan we’ll have more clarity about it.”
Madueke, who made the switch from Chelsea to Arsenal this summer, had begun to settle into life at the Emirates before the setback. The Gunners are hopeful that his progress after wearing the protective brace will be encouraging, but for now, both the player and supporters must remain patient.
