Nolhan Assafoua: French-Ivorian striker joins VfR Mannheim from Paris FC B

VfR Mannheim have added French-Ivorian striker Nolhan Assafoua to their squad following his move from Paris FC B. The 20-year-old forward heads to Germanys Regionalliga Sudwest as the club continue to shape their attacking options for the new campaign.

Assafoua, who operates as a central striker, leaves the French sides reserve ranks in search of senior football in a competitive league. The switch marks his first move into German football and offers him the chance to establish himself outside his home country.

Born in 2005 and eligible for both France and Cote d’Ivoire, Assafoua has been developing within the French system before deciding to continue his career abroad. His time at Paris FC B has given him experience in a structured, technical environment, and VfR Mannheim will now look to tap into that background as they refresh their forward line.

The transfer was completed on 11 July 2026, with Assafoua now officially registered as a VfR Mannheim player in the Regionalliga Sudwest.
