Noel Futkeu reportedly closing in on Eintracht Frankfurt exit

Noel Futkeu is reportedly close to leaving Eintracht Frankfurt for Bundesliga newcomers SV Elversberg.

The 23-year-old striker is expected to remain in Germany, with negotiations advancing over a possible move before the transfer window closes.

Initial reports indicated that Futkeu was preparing to join another German club, although the destination and structure of the agreement were initially unclear. Sky later identified Elversberg as the interested team, while Bild reported that the proposed deal would be a loan containing an option to buy.

Futkeu spent the previous two seasons with SpVgg Greuther Furth, where he established himself as a reliable goalscorer. The right-footed forward scored 31 goals in 71 competitive appearances, performances that convinced Frankfurt to activate their buy-back option and bring him back to the club.

However, Futkeu’s return to Frankfurt may be short-lived. With competition for attacking places and the player seeking another opportunity for regular football, Elversberg could provide a suitable environment for his next development step.

For Elversberg, the deal would add a proven young striker to their Bundesliga squad. Frankfurt, meanwhile, would retain control of Futkeu’s future through the purchase option while giving him valuable playing time.
