Noel Futkeu attracts SV Elversberg interest weeks after Frankfurt move

German-Cameroonian forward Noel Futkeu is being linked with a move from Frankfurt to SV Elversberg in a Bundesliga transfer rumour.

The 23-year-old centre-forward joined Frankfurt from Greuther Furth on 1 July 2026 in a deal reported at €1.3m. He is now being mentioned as a possible target for Elversberg, with both clubs listed in the Bundesliga.

Futkeu arrives at Frankfurt after a prolific 2025-26 campaign in the 2. Bundesliga, where he finished as the division’s leading scorer with 19 goals. Across his 2. Bundesliga career, he has recorded 30 goals and eight assists in 68 appearances.

His previous spell at Greuther Furth followed a move from Eintracht Frankfurt II in July 2024, and he has since established himself as a centre-forward who operates primarily through his right foot. Futkeu was born in Essen and holds German and Cameroonian nationality.

The reported interest from Elversberg comes soon after Frankfurt secured his signing, making the rumour notable against the backdrop of his recent change of club. Futkeu’s current market value is listed at €7.5m, substantially above the fee Frankfurt paid for him in July.

He remains a Frankfurt player, having only recently completed his move to the club.
