Noel Aseko has returned to training with Bayern Munich following his spell at Hannover 96, but the young midfielder’s future at the club remains uncertain ahead of the new season.

According to BILD, the 20-year-old has completed his first running session at Säbener Straße as he prepares for Bayern’s training camp, which begins on July 20.

However, despite his return to the club, a summer departure remains a realistic possibility.

Bayern receive interest for midfield talent

Bayern Munich recently brought back Aseko by activating a buy-back clause, with some figures within the club keen to keep the German Under-21 international as an option for the first team.

Nevertheless, the Bundesliga giants are also open to a potential sale during the current transfer window.

According to BILD, clubs from Italy, Spain and England have shown interest in the midfielder, although Eintracht Frankfurt are currently leading the race.

The Hessian club are reportedly already holding discussions over a possible long-term contract with Aseko until 2030, including an option for an additional year.

Bayern set asking price for Aseko

For a transfer to happen, Frankfurt must first reach an agreement with FC Bayern Munich.

The report indicates that Bayern are seeking a fee between €10 million and €12 million for the midfielder, although no final decision has been made regarding his next step.

With Bayern’s training camp approaching, Aseko’s situation is expected to become clearer in the coming weeks as the club decides whether he will compete for a place in Munich or continue his development elsewhere.
