Noam Obougou switches from Ligue 1 to AS Nancy in season-long loan move

French-Cameroonian centre-forward Noam Obougou has joined AS Nancy from Le Havre AC on a season-long loan, completing a move from France’s top flight to Ligue 2. The 20-year-old’s temporary transfer was completed on 12 August 2026.

Obougou’s loan with Nancy runs until 30 June 2027, when he is scheduled to return to Le Havre AC. The move gives the forward a spell with a club competing in Ligue 2 after he was part of Le Havre’s senior set-up.

Born in Besancon on 15 March 2006, Obougou stands 1.85m tall and operates as a centre-forward. He holds French and Cameroonian nationality and joins Nancy at the age of 20.

The forward moved into Le Havre’s senior structure in January 2026, joining Le Havre AC from the club’s reserve side, Le Havre B. Before that, he had progressed from Le Havre’s under-17 team to the reserve squad in July 2023.

His move to Nancy marks the latest step in that progression and places him with a Ligue 2 side for the 2026-27 campaign. Nancy’s first-team squad now includes a forward who has come through Le Havre’s youth and reserve pathway before making the switch between the two levels of French football.

Obougou’s current market value is listed at €1m, while his transfer is recorded as a loan move. The agreement sets 30 June 2027 as the end date of his spell with Nancy, after which he is due to rejoin Le Havre AC.

The transfer was completed on 12 August 2026, with Obougou joining AS Nancy from Le Havre AC until the end of the 2026-27 season.
