Noah Edjouma: French right winger linked with summer move to Lille

Noah Edjouma has completed a permanent move from FC Toulouse to LOSC Lille in an all-Ligue 1 transfer worth €5.00m. The 20-year-old right winger joins Lille on a deal running from 2026-02-02 to 2029-06-30, arriving with a current market value of €2.50m and the profile of one of the more intriguing young wide players emerging from French football.

The transfer keeps Edjouma in Ligue 1, with Lille securing a left-footed attacker who has been developed entirely within the Toulouse system. The move also maintains his status as a domestic-based player despite his dual France/Cameroon nationality, with Lille investing in his long-term potential rather than allowing his contract situation at Toulouse to run down and risk a future free-agent departure.

Edjouma’s path to this step has been gradual but consistent. Born in Clamart and standing at 1.82m, he progressed through Toulouse FC Formation before moving up to Toulouse FC U19 in the 2022-23 season. A promotion to Toulouse FC B followed for 2023-24, and by the 2024-25 campaign he had been fully integrated into the FC Toulouse first team. Each internal step kept him within the same club structure, but in progressively more demanding environments, culminating in regular involvement in France’s top flight.

Market value data underlines how sharply his reputation has risen in a short space of time. Still with Toulouse FC B in 2023, he was valued at €100,000, a figure that dipped to €50,000 in mid-2024. After his elevation to the senior Toulouse side, that valuation climbed dramatically: €500,000 in early 2025, then €800,000 later that year, before peaking at €3.00m in October 2025 and settling at €2.50m by the end of the year. Lille’s decision to pay €5.00m reflects both that trajectory and their belief that there is further upside to be unlocked.

Primarily deployed as an attacking right winger, Edjouma operates on his natural flank while cutting inside onto his preferred left foot. His role at Toulouse, as indicated by his positional data, was that of a forward-minded wide player expected to stretch defences, contribute in the final third and adapt to the higher physical and tactical demands of Ligue 1. His inclusion in LOSC Lille’s official squad list confirms he is viewed as part of the attacking unit rather than a developmental prospect to be loaned immediately.

Lille, a regular competitor near the top of Ligue 1, present a significant competitive step for the young Franco-Cameroonian. The move also positions him more clearly on the radar of both French and Cameroonian football structures, given his dual nationality and the visibility that comes with playing for a club of Lille’s stature. Remaining in the same league but changing environments offers continuity in opposition level while challenging him to win a place in a deeper, more ambitious squad.

With his contract now secured through 2029-06-30, Edjouma’s short- to medium-term future is clearly tied to Lille. The transfer closes the chapter on a long developmental spell at Toulouse and opens another in northern France, where his ability to justify a fee double his current market valuation will be closely watched. If he continues the upward curve reflected in his recent valuation history, this move has the potential to define the early years of his professional career and significantly enhance his standing in both French and Cameroonian football circles.
