Noah Atubolu in frame for Frankfurt move from Freiburg
Germany-Nigeria goalkeeper Noah Atubolu is being linked with a move from Freiburg to Bundesliga rivals Frankfurt.
The 24-year-old remains under contract at Freiburg until 30 June 2027, meaning any transfer would have to be agreed before the end of his current deal rather than taking place as a free move. Atubolu’s estimated market value is €25m.
The potential switch is rated at 40%, with both clubs competing in Germany’s top flight. No agreement has been confirmed, and the link remains at the rumour stage.
Atubolu has been with Freiburg during a period in which the club have retained him as a goalkeeper with two years remaining on his contract. A move to Frankfurt would therefore represent a Bundesliga transfer between established top-flight clubs, rather than a change of league or country.
At international level, Atubolu is eligible to represent Germany and Nigeria. His dual nationality is part of his background, although the transfer link concerns his club future.
For now, Atubolu remains a Freiburg player, with his contract scheduled to run through the end of June 2027.
