Nkunku linked with Roma switch after first season at AC Milan

French-Congolese forward Christopher Nkunku is the subject of a reported transfer link from AC Milan to Roma in Serie A.

Nkunku, 28, joined AC Milan from Chelsea on 30 August 2025 in a deal worth €37m and is under contract with the Italian club until 30 June 2030. Roma’s reported interest comes less than a year after his move to Milan, where he wears number 18 and plays as a centre-forward.

The France international has made 32 Serie A appearances during his career, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. He has also scored 11 goals in 31 Champions League appearances.

Nkunku began his senior career at Paris St-Germain before moving to RB Leipzig in 2019. He established himself in Germany, scoring 47 goals and supplying 43 assists in 119 Bundesliga appearances, and was named Footballer of the Year in 2022. He later joined Chelsea in 2023 for €60m before moving to AC Milan.

His honours include the 2025 Club World Cup and Conference League with Chelsea, as well as three French league titles with Paris St-Germain and two German Cups with Leipzig.

The reported move would represent another significant change for Nkunku after successive transfers between major European clubs, although his long-term Milan contract remains in place.
