NK Hrvace sign Ivory Coast striker Theo Yolou from CFR Cluj on free transfer

Ivory Coast centre-forward Theo Yolou has joined Croatian club NK Hrvace from Romanian side CFR Cluj on a free transfer.

The 21-year-old has moved to Hrvace, who play in Croatia’s Prva NL, after spending the opening part of the 2026-27 season with CFR Cluj. The deal was completed on 27 August.

Yolou progressed to CFR Cluj’s senior squad from the club’s under-19 side in July 2025. He had originally joined CFR Cluj U19 from Ivorian club ASI Abengourou in October 2023.

The striker spent the 2024-25 campaign with CSM Sighet and Minaur in loan spells from CFR Cluj U19. He returned to CFR Cluj in June 2025 before moving temporarily to Ceahlaul the following month.

Yolou then joined Minaur on loan in January 2026, returning to CFR Cluj at the end of June. His latest move brings an end to his time with the Romanian club and sees him begin a new chapter in Croatia.

Born in Bouake, Yolou stands 1.85 metres tall and operates as a centre-forward. He is right-footed and represents Ivory Coast at nationality level.

Hrvace have added Yolou to their squad after the forward’s series of domestic moves and loan spells in Romania. His transfer history includes time with CFR Cluj’s youth and senior teams, as well as temporary spells at CSM Sighet, Ceahlaul and Minaur.

The move also represents Yolou’s first transfer outside Romania since he arrived in Europe from ASI Abengourou. He now joins a club competing in the Prva NL, Croatia’s second-tier division.

Yolou’s previous transfer from Minaur to CFR Cluj was recorded as the end of a loan, while his earlier switches to Minaur, CSM Sighet and Ceahlaul were temporary moves. His move to NK Hrvace is listed as a free transfer.
