Ninte Nater: Guinea-Bissau and Portugal forward joins UD Santa Marta on free transfer

UD Santa Marta have signed Guinea-Bissau and Portugal forward Ninte Nater from CD Illescas on a free transfer.

The 21-year-old centre-forward completed the move on 11 August 2026 and has joined the Spanish club after leaving Illescas. Nater’s new contract runs until 30 June 2027.

Born in Canchungo, Guinea-Bissau, Nater holds both Guinea-Bissau and Portuguese nationality. He stands at 1.85m and plays primarily through the centre of the attack, using his right foot.

The move represents a switch between two Spanish clubs, with Nater leaving CD Illescas to continue his career at UD Santa Marta. His arrival gives Santa Marta a central attacking option as they begin their latest campaign.

Nater’s previous experience includes a spell with Bremer SV, with whom he won the Bremen Cup during the 2023-24 season. That honour remains the first listed achievement of his senior career.

His background also includes football in both Spain and Germany, while his birthplace links him to Guinea-Bissau and his nationality gives him a connection to Portugal. At 21, he now begins the next stage of his career with Santa Marta.
