Nigerian teenager Ethan Nwaneri nets first Uefa Champions League in style

England-born Nigerian prospect, Ethan Nwaneri celebrated a milestone on Tuesday night, netting his first UEFA Champions League goal for Arsenal.

Making his first Champions League start, the 17-year-old attacker produced a moment of brilliance, cutting in from the right before curling a stunning effort into the far corner to give Arsenal a 2-1 lead against Girona just before halftime.

The Gunners had initially fallen behind but found an equalizer through Jorginho’s penalty before Nwaneri’s superb strike put them ahead.

With Arsenal leading at the break, they will be aiming to see out the game with a commanding victory as they push toward the knockout stages.
