Bayelsa United have taken decisive steps to strengthen their squad ahead of the second half of the Nigeria Premier Football League season, announcing the arrival of six new players as they look to refresh their campaign and improve results.
The Yenagoa-based side has moved proactively in the transfer window, bringing in a mix of emerging talents and proven domestic performers. Among the new signings are Ettah Ekoi and Okim Divine Okim, both recruited from Calabar Rovers, adding depth and competition across key areas of the pitch.
Bayelsa United have also secured the services of Otunuya Kennedy from Godswill Akpabio United, while Nasidi Abdulrasak Danladi joins the Prosperity Boys from Kebbi FC. In addition, Stephen Ikechi Wisdom has been drafted in from Akwa United, further reinforcing the squad with top-flight experience.
In a move that underlines the club’s commitment to youth development, Bayelsa United have also promoted Kenus Godswill from their feeder team to the senior side. The promotion is seen as part of a broader strategy to inject youthful energy, hunger, and long-term continuity into the squad.
