Nigeria midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has joined Monza from Inter on loan, adding a 21-year-old central midfielder to the Serie A club’s squad for the 2026-27 season.

The move was completed on 1 August 2026, with Akinsanmiro’s spell at Monza running until 30 June 2027. He returns to Serie A after spending the previous season with Pisa, where he was on loan from Inter before going back to the Milan club at the end of June.

Akinsanmiro has already made 25 Serie A appearances, recording one assist. He also played 35 times in Serie B, scoring once and providing one assist, during his career in Italy. His experience includes appearances in both senior and youth competitions, with 37 Primavera 1 matches producing six goals and five assists.

The Lagos-born midfielder began his career with Remo Stars before moving to Inter’s under-19 side in January 2023. He later progressed into Inter’s senior structure, completing a move from Inter Under-20 to the first team in July 2024.

Akinsanmiro spent the 2024-25 campaign at Sampdoria on loan, making four appearances in the Italian Cup during that period. He then moved to Pisa for the 2025-26 season, returning to Inter after the loan ended on 30 June 2026.

The right-footed midfielder stands 1.84m tall and is listed primarily as a central midfielder. His arrival gives Monza a player with experience across Italy’s top two divisions, as well as a background in Inter’s youth system.

At Inter, Akinsanmiro was part of squads that won the Italian Cup in the 2022-23 season and the Italian championship in 2023-24. Those honours came before his successive loan spells with Sampdoria and Pisa.

Monza have secured the Nigerian’s services through the 2026-27 campaign, with the loan agreement scheduled to end on 30 June 2027.
