Nigerian forward Akor Adams scored to seal a delightful 4-1 victory for Sevilla against FC Barcelona on Sunday evening.
The attacker started the La Liga Week 8 encounter from the bench but came on in the 61st minute to replace Isaac Romero.
Sevilla took the lead in the 13th minute when Alexis Sanchez converted a penalty with precision, before Isaac Romero doubled the advantage in the 36th minute following an assist from Ruben Vargas.
Barcelona clawed one back in first-half stoppage time through Marcus Rashford, who powered home a superb effort after being set up by Pedri.
Robert Lewandowski had the chance to equalise from the penalty spot in the 76th minute but narrowly missed, a costly moment for the visitors.
Sevilla dramatically sealed the win as Jose Angel Carmona’s long-range strike in the 90th minute made it 3–1, before Chidera Ejuke teed up Akor Adams in stoppage time for a simple close-range finish to complete the emphatic 4–1 victory.
It was a statement performance from Sevilla and a memorable outing for Akor Adams, whose goal sealed a famous win against the defending La Liga champions.
