Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman looks set to stay at Atalanta until the winter transfer window following his failed transfer to Inter Milan.
After his transfer to Inter fell through, Lookman has become one of the most talked-about names on the market. The Atalanta striker has been training alone at Zingonia as speculation over his future continues.
At present, the Nerazzurri number 11 is valued at around €50 million, with next week expected to be crucial in determining his fate before the transfer window officially closes across Europe’s top leagues.
Atletico Madrid have made their stance clear, unwilling to allow him to join a direct competitor, while both Arsenal and Atletico had monitored his situation but never submitted an official bid.
The attacker is bent on leaving and will be happy to complete a move before the summer window shuts.
For now, the most likely outcome is for Lookman to continue with Atalanta under the ownership of the Percassi family, unless a move materialises to a second-tier market.
