Nigeria winger Nentaka Bangs makes Slovakian switch to Slovan Galanta

Nigeria winger Nentaka Bangs has joined Slovan Galanta from AS Trencin on loan, moving to the Slovakian second tier for the 2026-27 campaign.

The 20-year-old left-sided attacker’s move was completed on 14 August and is scheduled to run until 30 June 2027. Bangs will return to AS Trencin when the loan ends, with the two clubs representing different levels of Slovakian football: Trencin compete in the Nike Liga, while Slovan Galanta play in the II. Liga.

Bangs becomes part of Slovan Galanta’s squad after spending the first part of 2026 with AS Trencin. He joined the Nike Liga club from Nigerian side Wikki Tourists on 1 January 2026, having previously made the move to Wikki Tourists from Nasarawa United in August 2023.

The player is listed primarily as a left winger and stands at 1.70m. His arrival gives Slovan Galanta a Nigeria-born attacking option capable of operating from the left side, while also adding a player with experience of moving between Nigerian and Slovakian clubs.

Bangs’ first spell in Slovakia began with AS Trencin, following his departure from Wikki Tourists. His earlier transfer to Wikki Tourists was completed as a free transfer from Nasarawa United, where he had started his senior club career before moving abroad.

The temporary move places Bangs under contract with Slovan Galanta through the end of the 2026-27 season. His listed market value is €25,000, while the loan agreement itself does not include a stated transfer fee.

Slovan Galanta compete in the II. Liga, Slovakia’s second division, and Bangs joins them after AS Trencin’s opening period in the Nike Liga campaign. He had not made an appearance in the competition during the current season before the switch, with the transfer taking place early in the campaign.

Bangs’ club career has now taken him from Nasarawa United to Wikki Tourists, then on to AS Trencin and Slovan Galanta. The move to Galanta is his third recorded club change since leaving Nasarawa United in 2023 and his second since arriving in Slovakia at the start of 2026.

The Nigeria international? Data only nationality, no international career. don’t say international.

Slovan Galanta have completed Bangs’ loan arrival from AS Trencin through 30 June 2027.
