Nigeria travel to Guinea-Bissau seeking second win in 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying

Nigeria have left their training base in Uyo and travelled to Guinea-Bissau for Tuesday’s crucial 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The Super Eagles began their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Madagascar and will look to maintain that winning start under manager Eric Chelle.

Their opponents, the Djurtus, also opened the qualification campaign with three points after beating Tanzania 2-0 away from home. The result has set up a closely contested meeting at the top of Group L.

The match, which kicks off at 16:00 GMT on Tuesday, 29 September, is expected to provide a demanding physical and tactical test for both sides.

Nigeria will face a Guinea-Bissau team confident after its impressive result in Tanzania and regarded as a strong side on home soil. The Super Eagles will therefore need to show control and make the most of their chances if they are to return from Bissau with all three points.
