The Nigerian Football Federation is set to meet on Thursday to discuss and determine a new start date for the domestic football championship. Initially scheduled for November 20, the league’s commencement was postponed due to a dispute between the clubs and the League over the management of the championship and the issuance of FIFA licenses to clubs. The general assembly in Warri (south Nigeria) is expected to address these issues, and there are speculations that the championship might start in February, following the conclusion of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa.
