The Nigerian Interim Football Management Committee has announced a change in the name of the country’s national football premier league. The league, formerly known as the Nigeria Premier League (NPL), will now be called the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) starting from the new season on March 9. Additionally, the committee conducted a draw for the first day of the championship, with defending champions Kano Pillars set to face Wikki Tourists and Enugu Rangers playing against Enyimba.
