Nigeria international Victor Boniface has touched down in Italy to undergo a medical ahead of his anticipated move to AC Milan.
The Rossoneri have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for a season-long loan deal worth €5 million, with an option to make the transfer permanent for an additional €24 million at a later date.
AC Milan turned their attention to Boniface after negotiations with Manchester United and Juventus for strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Dusan Vlahovic failed to materialise.
Italian media highlights the significance of Boniface’s medical, citing his injury history.
The 24-year-old has previously suffered two cruciate ligament injuries during his time at Bodo/Glimt, alongside recurring muscular issues over the past two seasons with Bayer Leverkusen.
Should Boniface pass the medical, he will become Milan’s eighth signing of the summer window, joining the arrivals of Luka Modric, Ardon Jashari, Samuele Ricci, Pervis Estupinan, Koni De Winter, Zachary Athekame, and Pietro Terracciano.

Prior to agreeing to Milan, Boniface had been strongly linked with clubs in the Saudi Pro League but opted for a move to Italy ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
