Enyimba International are set to appoint Deji Ayeni as their new head coach, aiming to bring stability to the team after Stanley Eguma’s departure.
Ayeni, 53, has a wealth of experience, having managed top Nigerian clubs including Sunshine Stars and Akwa United, as well as Crown FC in the Nigeria National League.
He is expected to take charge in the coming days, as the Aba giants move to end a period of uncertainty on their technical bench.

Ayeni’s task will be to steady the ship and improve Enyimba’s performance in the Nigeria Premier Football League, especially as they prepare for crucial matches, including a home clash against Rangers. His experience and tactical discipline are expected to bring renewed energy to the squad.
Eyimba have been inconsistent since the commencement of the 2025/26 football campaign. Currently, the Aba giants find themselves in the 9th position, accumulating 23 points after 18 matches.
