Nigeria – NFF: Amaju Pinnick Confirmed in His Role

Nigeria: Amaju Pinnick Officially Confirmed as NFF President

After weeks of uncertainty and internal strife, Amaju Pinnick has officially been confirmed as the President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF). His initial election, held a few weeks ago, had been invalidated by the NFF, leading to a crisis that prompted a suspension by FIFA due to government interference and a lack of adherence to the body’s statutes.

However, the situation has now been resolved. On Thursday, the NFF Appeal Committee, chaired by Barrister Ajunwa, officially validated Pinnick’s election, recognizing him as the legitimate head of Nigerian football.

This confirmation ends a turbulent chapter for the NFF and helps restore stability to Nigerian football administration, ensuring compliance with FIFA regulations and avoiding further sanctions. Pinnick can now fully begin his duties and focus on rebuilding confidence and progress in Nigerian football, both domestically and internationally.
